Geocache Description:

High mountain cache remote from all roads

This cache has been placed with mountaineers in mind. You will need the full range of high mountain/foul weather clothing and equipment to visit an area where the weather can deteriorate rapidly. If you are carrying a compass and suitable map (1:25.000 suggested), and are competent in their use, you will not need car parking or approach instructions. The nearest cache will be GCJTMT, although an approach from the head of Langdale (NY 28568 06054) might interest some. "Hard" men might like to take in GCG3A7 to make a full day out.
The container is in two parts; one part contains a log book, printed on waterproof paper, and the other part contains a pencil. You may need to retrieve the pencil first.
This is the first cache in a series of high level caches which can be visited individually. On the top of the log book is a letter in bold print. When you have collected all six letters you will have to mail me with details, and in exchange you will be given full co-ordinates for the final cache in the series. (The full series of caches will not be in place until April/May 2005)
Warning!!!The location is easy to find. The cache will be very, very difficult to find. If you do not sign the logbook your entry will be deleted.
