BEWARE OF NETTLES!
This cache is located in the area where in about 1980 (or 82?) I spent a lot of time observing a Hawk Owl. That owl was the only one of its kind ever recorded to have been seen in Iowa up that time, and maybe since! It spent most of its time hunting during the day from the big tree closest to the HWY at the dead end street. After writing 32 pages of notes about what I saw I have a lot to say about that bird. It actually roosted in the place where the cache is.
I park here at the dead end on Wellington to go in. You will be less notifiable though, if you park at 42.491116, -92.362234. On the map look for the green arrow. It can be muddy in the lower part of the woods. The cache is located on relatively high ground though.
