GHMGC Weekend Geofest
(Woodbridge, Ontario)

Join the Golden Horseshoe Monthly Geocaching Club for a fun filled weekend of fun, socializing, food and of course geocaching at the Kortright Centre for Conservation.

This is a family friendly event and will attract people from all over North America. Several GC loggable themed caches will be available to find. Other than regular park admission the event itself is FREE to attend.

This is a 2 day event that will last the entire weekend as follows:
Saturday, May 14, 2011, 10am-4pm
Sunday, May 15, 2011, 10am-4pm

The event is FREE to attend. There is NO event fee.
(Regular park admission\parking applies. Children 15 and under are free.)

Come to the event on either Saturday or Sunday or join us for both days.
When you arrive, make sure you come to the registration table at the picnic pavilion (posted coordinates) located just outside of the visitor's center to register and fill out your ballot for some great prizes. We'll also be available to answer any questions you may have.
Themed geocaches to challenge geocachers of all levels including a very special Wherigo\Multi that you won't want to miss.

Food is available for purchase at the conservation area at either their cafe or the BBQ. Some of the items available from the menu are: Sausage, Hamburger, Hot Dog, Veggie Burger, Samosas, Rice, Pita, Chick Pea and Potato Curry, Assorted Pop, Water, Juice, Apple Pie, Chips, Ice Cream, and more.
Or you can bring your own lunch.
Camping is available at the nearby Indian Line Campground(15% discount if you book at least a week in advance...just mention the event) or you can stay at one of the many nearby hotels.

Photography Clinic. Drop by anytime during the day for some advice, tips, and help with your camera at the pavilion. Keith Watson will be happy to try and answers any questions you have and maybe show some features you may not be aware you camera has.
Drop off and discover geocoins and travel bugs at the event and help move others along.
Some attendees brought kites last year. Feel free to bring your own kite. There is a large kite flying field and plenty of room by the pavilion for smaller kites.
