HHAA - Saving The Environment Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Spike007: This spot has changed quite a lot since it was placed in 2008. Parking is almost non-existent, which may be the reason this one hasn't been found in quite some time. They have even restricted parking on the side streets to residential parking permitted people only, likely due to all the students driving to school. All this considered, it's time to bid adieu to this last HHAA cache from 2008 and perhaps make room for something new in the area. Thanks to all the visitors that trekked in to this nice area!

The Hudson Hot Air Affair is the premier winter ballooning event and winter festival in the Midwest. Thousands of visitors head to the St. Croix Valley community in west central Wisconsin and local residents make it a homecoming every year on the first full weekend in February. About 40 colorful hot air balloons, including special shapes, launch in mass ascensions Saturday and Sunday mornings and light up the night at the Saturday evening Moon Glow or Field of Fire. Balloonists traditionally attend from Wisconsin, Minnesota, North and South Dakota, Iowa, Illinois and Nebraska.
