The Camp Skymount Hotel Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

deb3day: This geocache has had a good run but its time is over. I grew up in the house across the street from this location and my parents lived there for over 60 years. On August 15, 2018, we will have settlement on the house and it will no longer be part of our family. Thank you to all who have visited this location. Since I will have no reason to visit this area any more, I am shutting this one down.

Geocache Description:

A cache placed on the road where I grew up.

You cannot get this cache from the Pennsylvania Turnpike, so please do not try it. And if your GPS tells you to go past the fence, it's wrong. It is not inside the turnpike fence.

I grew up riding my bike up and down this road. I used to play around the area where the hide is located. I now live in Chester County, but come here to visit family. Unfortunately there are not nearly as many caches around here as there are where I live now. I don't know of many caches in the area that would be good for exchanging TB's so I thought this would be great addition to the area caching scene.

This spot should be relatively safe from muggles. There is a driveway just across the street from the hide where you can park your car. The driveway owners are aware of the cache.

This is meant to be a place to help trackables on their way. I do not condone imprisoning TB's, so there is no rule to exchange a TB for a TB. If you want to take one, just be sure to log it properly and move it along promptly. If you have a trackable that needs to be moved along, please drop it off. You are welcomed to visit often to drop off, pick up or exchange TB's. I will try to add new trackables when possible.

If you are new to caching, please read up on how to properly log trackables. Please visit http://www.geocaching.com/track/howto.aspx. As an owner of trackables, it is extremely frustrating to see them handled improperly. Proper logging is essential to know where your trackable is. If you have questions, I will gladly answer them. TB's only. Please - no swag!
