Geocache Description:

The second annual Irish cachers' get-together, and the first to be held in Northern Ireland. Saturday June 25th 2005

A chance to visit the beautiful North Antrim Coast, with some excellent caches within easy reach. Stunning scenic attractions such as the Giant's Causeway and Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge (see main photo) are close by.


The location:
We will assemble at Glenmore House (Grid ref: 082 406 OS Sheet 5) at 15.30Hrs on Saturday afternoon.

There'll be time to chat and swap travel bugs, before a barbecue at 17.30(weather permitting). There is a small licensed bar on the premises.

Some of the best caches in Ireland lie within a few miles of the venue, suitable for a Sunday morning expedition.

Disposable paper plates, enough for your party
Eating irons, (incl. spoons), ditto.
1 roll of paper kitchen towel.


Other attractions: If you plan to stay over the weekend, there are a number of interesting places to visit, including the Giant's Causeway, or perhaps a tour of the famous Old Bushmills distillery.

You will find it useful to have Ordnance Survey NI 1:50000 Sheet 5.

Driving directions:
From Belfast:Take M2/A26/M2 north to N55º00.945 W6º22.023 turn right A44 SP "Ballycastle".Drive 28Km to N55º12.283 W6º14.401, turn left B15 SP "Ballintoy". Drive 4 Km to venue on left.

From Stroke City: Follow A2 east to N55º14.010 W6º22.767, turn left SP "Giant's Causeway". Drive 7.3 Km to venue on right.
