CLUE jr.
Can you solve the mystery of who ate the chocolate cake?

Your goal is to solve the Clue Jr. mystery by discovering who ate the cake, with what drink, and at what time? These facts will help you find the final container to solve this customized version of Clue Jr’s “The Case of the Missing Chocolate Cake”.

To solve this field puzzle, you will need to first visit all five related Clue Jr. rooms (ie: cache sites) in any order to collect clues that will help you solve "The mystery of the missing cake".
GC3B33E: CLUE Jr - Parlour
GC3B33H: CLUE Jr - The Study
GC3B32W: CLUE Jr - Conservatory
GC3B339: CLUE Jr - Dining Room
GC3B337: CLUE Jr - Billiards Room

And you will need a worksheet which you can download/print off here or grab one from any of the caches).

In each cache container (room) you will find a picture of one suspect, a specific time, and a beverage. As you visit each room (cache location), mark your worksheet with the information you find in each one and sign the logbook. Whatever is left over on your worksheet will help you solve the mystery and lead you to the final location.

Instructions for marking your worksheet…
Whenever you find a Clue Jr geocache container (room), inside you will find character, drink, and time playing pieces. Cross each one off your detective worksheet and find the next room. You can also cross off the room (cache location) so you know where you’ve been. (Don’t forget to sign the logbook at each room as well). The crossed-out drinks, times and suspects aren’t part of the solution - the missing ones are. After you visit all five rooms, you should be ready to solve the mystery of who ate the chocolate cake!

About Clue, the board game…

Clue is a popular murder/mystery-themed deduction board game originally published by Waddingtons in England in 1949. It was devised by Anthony E. Pratt. It is now published by Hasbro, which acquired Parker Brothers in 1991 as well as Waddingtons in 1994.

The object of the original game is for players to strategically move around the game board (a mansion), in the guise of one of the game's six characters, collecting clues from which to deduce which suspect murdered the game's perpetual victim: Mr. Boddy, and with which weapon and in what room.

Clue Jr: The Case of the Missing Cake is a spinoff Clue game released in 2003. Like other versions of Clue Jr, this game was a Clue variant aimed for kids. Instead of solving a murder, the players search for clues to find out who ate a cake. Clue was turned into a motion picture in 1985 starring Tim Curry, Madeline Kahn, and Christopher Lloyd. It grossed US$14,643,997. As Hollywood is wont to do, the Clue movie is being remade in 2013. See more at Wikipedia.

A First-to-Find certificate is in the cache.

This puzzle was designed to be found with your kids, so bring the family, grandkids, nephews and nieces, or perhaps even your neighbour's kids, and have fun! If you know some potential little cachers, why not make an effort to invite them to come along and play with you on your adventure?

Please use stealth at the final as it is near a well-used pathway (both summer and winter). In the summer months, wading may be required; and mosquitos, ticks and poison ivy might be an issue.

Cache is NOT winter-friendly, but it's an ammo can that should be findable at least 10 months of the year.

When signing the logbook, go ahead and use one whole page per caching group. It's a big logbook and there's lots of room for comments, drawings, unrelated anecdotes, or any other creative prose! Be imaginative. No need to use the backside of any pages either.

You can check your answers for this puzzle here.

Congratulations to "detective ertyu" on the sleuthful First-to-Find!
