And so to Bedstead. Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

twoofnine: The cache has lasted almost 10 years but has recently been compromised a few times so time to go.

We'd like to mention Sven one last time as his geocaching Spoilers site, although perhaps not appreciated by some, was helpful and inspirational to us in our early days of caching.

He was also a keen biker, as were we at the time, so his online posts resonated with us.

Goodbye and thank you.

Geocache Description:

This is our cache placed in memory of Steve Love AKA: Sven, SvenGalie and GeocacheSpoilers. Take a moment to read about him and view some of his videos...you might be inspired to go geocaching!

We think Sven, as a keen biker, would have appreciated this cache on the Isle of Man TT course between 'Signpost Corner' and 'The Nook' on the home run to the finish line. In keeping with Sven's own caches this one has a 'twist' and is not quite what it seems at first.

The cache is by a footpath close to a busy main road. It is best to park on a nearby side road and walk over the footbridge or approach on foot from the Onchan side.

It is said that it is called 'Bedstead Corner' because the hoteliers in the area used to dump their old bedsteads here and the local farmers used them for fencing the fields.

Please bring your own pen/pencil and replace the cache very carefully, as found.
