Warning

Please note: To use the services of geocaching.com, you must agree to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Located close to Anchorage, in a heavly forested area. Diffculty 2. But gps signals are tough through the trees.
The cache is an ammo box. It contains some fun little items. The forest is very thick and wild mushrooms are plentiful. Don't eat them though. A small game trail takes you within 75 yards of the cache. The cache will be found in a small clearing on the South side of a small ridge. It will be sitting in the trunk of birch. The birch was snapped of by wind at about 3 feet off the ground. So it is still vertical. Warning getting a GPS signal through these trees can be tough. And the accuracy of the readings is poor.

This one took me a while. I almost quite until I went cback and read the logs again. Had to do some digging and take my snowshoes off. The coordinates were good as another log stated. TFTC

Another successful find today where we took four out of six. This one was spot on with my Garmin etrex Venture HC. Didn't have the right shoes for tromping through the snow though, so got a little damp. TNFN
