This Cache is near our first cache (Bethlehem Wetland Reserve) but this one should stay a lot dryer.
PLEASE TAKE CARE WITH CHILDREN AS THERE IS WATER ALL AROUND THIS AREA.
This Cache is in the part of the Bethlehem wetland that is beside the new Beaumaris Boulevard link road (Opened 8th August 2010) and has short bush walk within a busy residential area. There is lots of wildlife in the area so please take care of the surroundings.
The terrain is fairly easy going and the difficulty rating is set at 2.5 only due to the area being used by a lot of people Walking, Running and Cycling.
You can access the new link road from Cambridge Road via Sterling Gate Drive, From Moffat Road via Beaumaris Boulevard and from the Bethlehem end of Waihi Road.
This is a great Cache for anyone that is “Just Passing Through” Tauranga as you can get to it off SH 2 in either direction between Bethlehem and Tauranga city using the off ramps marked “Otumoetai via Waihi Rd” then follow the signs for Beaumaris Blvd.
The cache is a 250g round container painted Black placed in a holder at the location.
PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE THE HOLDER FROM THE LOCATION The cache just lifts out of its holder. This cache has a magnetic base so it doesn't get blown all around.
When placing the cache back please make sure it is in it's holder properly. Thank you.
