Disco Bay Americana Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

mudsneaker: We stopped by and confirmed it's missing. Based on the fact the nearby Snack Train appears to be closed after all these years, it's time to let this one go. Maybe someone will decide to do something creative here again some day.

Geocache Description:

Lots of easy parking but do be careful exiting and entering the highway.

Americana refers to artifacts of the culture of the United States.
Examples of this culture include baseball, apple pie, jazz, Superman, the Diner, George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue, the music of Aaron Copland (notably his Fanfare for the Common Man), and American art, such as that of Norman Rockwell. (source:Wikipedia)

I have been using this spot as a pit stop for many years on my way from Olympia to Sequim. Its nice after driving up the Hood Canal to take a break and stretch the legs.
If you see something that is interesting around here, great! There use to be a railroad connection here to a long forgotten logging outfit. So some old cabooses are here if your so inclined to check them out. They would qualify as Americana. I unfortunately cannot go into detail due to commercial restrictions, but I hope you enjoy taking a break here.
