Geocache Description:

A traditional cache along the West Prong of the Pigeon River, part of the Sevierville Memorial River Trail Greenway. There is a tiny parking area specially for this paved walking trail at:
N35° 51.843 W083° 34.126
A sign on the main roadway will direct you to turn between a Motel and a Restaurant. Please be sure to stop and notice the McMahan Indian Mound (visible from the road), an earth structure showing Indian activity in the area pre-1500s.

Distance from your car to the container is about 0.20 mile. There may be people walking on the Greenway, so you might have to employ a little bit of stealth at some time.

Container is a camouflaged plastic Lock-n-Lock box about 6x4x7 inches, large enough to hold travel bugs and most trade items.
Please be sure to pile on some natural camouflage after you find the cache so it isn't visible to others!

This cache replaces our previous one, "Sevierville River Trail," which was bulldozed and destroyed in Dec. 2004.
