Ah! New Years Morning. A few of us took a trek up the Backbone
Trail
to Saddle Peak to toast in the New Year. On the way down, I saw this nice resting rock. Not quite as big as the original Backbone
Lunch Rock
down the ways a bit, but it will work.

An easy find, so I'm making good time on this Spinal Tap trip. TFTC.

This will go down as probably the fastest find we will ever make. Before the GPS even beeped to let me know I was nearing GZ, Dana had the cache in hand. Cache was dry and we did indeed have half of our lunch on the rock. Thank for bringing us to the spot. 5 of 8 today as we make progress on the The Spinal Tap Backbone Challenge. TFTC!

Lots of twisting in the trail down from Dirty Harry's Manzanita. Somehow I had a different lunch rock in mind, didn't hear the beep, and almost blew right by it. But my eye spotted a hiding place as I walked up (maybe I'm starting to get the hang of this?), and there it was and there I was. Not time for lunch but it's a really comfortable rock and I rested for a few minutes, then headed past the connector junction to the old BACKBONE LUNCH ROCK.
