Rockhampton Round is a circular walk between Thornbury and Rockhampton which is approx. 5 miles in length. The walk is predominately level using public footpaths and country lanes. We have placed 16 caches on this round, (just to spoil the walk) and they range in size from Small to Nano. Some of the finds are easy others are more challenging.
Please only initial the logs in the Nanos in order to save space. The caches are numbered in the order they are because we started at parking ref. N 51.37.178 W 002.29.736 but you may start where you wish, Rockhampton or Sundayshill Lane and so long as you go in numeric order you will end up in the same place……… Just think, you could spend 3 hours sitting in the car and save all that energy. We recommend stout walking shoes and in the winter this could be quite wet in places. This is one of our favourite local walks and we hope that you enjoy it as much as we do. In some areas the footpath does cross the fields so; having an OS Map with you will allow you to confirm these areas.
