The hike from here to the Page Mill site along Slate Creek is something special. The sun filtering through the redwoods, and the sounds of the creek make for a great hike.
Nope, the cache is not in or around the gigantic split redwood. It is directly uphill from there, but don't head directly uphill. If you read this before heading down to the creek, turn onto the side trail just before turning left to head down to the creek. The side trail looks like an old logging road that has now become overgrown.
