Geocache Description:

Rain or Shine event, 8am-11am.  Bring gloves and any trash grabber-upper device you have.  Trash bags will be available at the event as will bottled water.  Trails may be rocky and caches may be in the brush off the trails so dress appropriately as you will NOT be in a city park but out in the bush.  ATVs and Jeep type vehicles may be able to negotiate some of the nearby trails.

This CITO event is in August to afford geocachers a chance to do a good deed and earn the CITO souvenir (on their profile).  The event log will be at the parking lot located at the Houston Mesa Trailhead, also known as Starbase 11 for those who want to do the cache "Warp Drive Multi" while visiting here.  Another easy multi, "R We There Yet?" is nearby.  Anyone wanting to learn multicaching or wanting to get the August souvenir for finding a multi would find either of these a fine choice.  There are a few traditional caches along trails in the vicinity for those who want to grab the August souvenir for Traditional cache finding.  Likewise, there are five puzzle caches in this area and cachers may want to solve the puzzles and get an August souvenir for finding a mystery cache.  In other areas near Payson, there are numerous Letterbox Hybrid caches which could be found to get the August souvenir in that category.  Since the cache owners for many of the Payson area caches are likely to be attending this event, you can get plenty of assistance if you have questions.

Two events by other cachers are scehduled (Aug 2 and Aug 23) within 25 miles of Payson.  So, if you are here those weekends, grab another souvenir of August.
