County park in the Van Buren County Northpoint Conservation Area. Rolling trails lead to Lake Michigan over forested dunes. Some steep climbs, but on good trails. Cache is less than 1/2 mile from trailhead. Lake Michigan is a just over the dune. The one by the tree is not the cache.
This is a beautiful area located in the dunes along the Lake Michigan shoreline a few miles south of South Haven, Michigan. The trail and beech are in a county park located in the Van Buren County Northpoint Conservation Area less than a mile from the Van Buren State Park. The trails leading into the dunes have been crossed by many a scout over the years. Local scouts of all ages hold fond memories of hikes, games, and Scouting ceremonies at Northpoint. Please practice cache in carry out during your visit.

The original waypoint will take you to the trailhead and parking. Be sure to keep this waypoint in your GPS because there are several trails running through the woods and finding your way out can be tricky. The beech can be found at N42° 20.540 / W086° 18.241. It is about .35 mi. from the trailhead. The cache use to be there until it was muggled. New cache is 42 20.540N and 086 18.234W.

It seems as though the muggels returned the original cache to the beech. I have yet to pick it up. New cache is in better shape and a little to the left.

Found both the new and the old cache. No trackables were here. This is the third cache I found that this website said had trackables.
What a beautiful little hike though. Awesome view of the sunset as we got started late tonight. TFTC.

Forgot to actually "drop" the Cursed Travel Bug! Thank God it's finally someone else's curse!
