Small Bison Tube hidden off the bike trail in Desoto State Park

This is our first cache. It is a small bison tube and should be a pretty easy find. There are multiple ways to approach this cache but the most fun is by taking the silver trail to the Family Bike Trail. The title of the cache should be all the hint that is needed. BYOP there is only a log file.

*** There are two magnets. Please ensure both are in place so the cache stays put. One on the outside of bison, one on the inside. I will try to replace container soon, untill then please be aware of the two magnents.***

This Cache was approved by the Desoto State Park and a permit was filed and signed by a park Supervisor.

Ladybugs everywhere! EVERYWHERE I say. We were still swatting them off when we got to the truck! TFTC!

1:09pm - What a beautiful day! Thank goodness we had a driver who could let us off closer to the cache! Found the cache amongst a thousand, yes I said a thousand LADYBUGS! They were everywhere! Whew! Then we had muggles ride by on their bikes. They were so intent on watching us that one of them ran into the bike in front of him. We heard Daddy Biker tell them to quit "rubbernecking" at us. I guess they thought we were crazy people! TFTC!

12:08pm #9781. My first find with my new GPSr. I took advantage of the beautiful day to take a walk at lunch and see if I could find this one. The leaves are turning and there was a nice breeze. I found it right where the GPSr was pointing. The log is dry, but the magnet is separated from container. It still holds everything together, but future finders need to be careful not to lose the magnet when handling the container. Great spot for the cache, it’s a very enjoyable walk. Thanks for the fun!

We looked a couple of times while staying at DeSoto Campground. Great hike, but never located cache.

**want to add that our gps battery went haywire while searching for this one.

FTF@ 4:19PM

Well I decided this afternoon that I was going to try for yet another FTF, by looking at this rating I thought this would be a breaze. WRONG!, the route I took was about a 30 minute route and the route I left was far shorter but still a haul. I made my way to GZ in the rain and was able to retieve this cache rather quickly. It was fun and I enjoyed the stroll through the rolling rivers on the trails. Shoes were quite a bit SOAKED, so were socks. Still it was fun and I enoyed it. Nice hide and nice location. Dipping my coin for milage.
