I Cannot Tell A Lie Traditional Cache
grrlrighter: [:(] Finally came to accept that I can't take care of this cache right now, so I'll need to shelf it. It was my first hide, and I really liked the premise. Hopefully I'll be back on the caching scene soon!

My first hide: Hidden the week between President's Day and
Washington's Birthday to commemorate the 1st President of the
United States of America.
Legend has it that when George Washington was a boy, he chopped
down his father’s prized cherry tree. When his father angrily
demanded to know who felled the tree, young George ignored the
temptation to deny his guilt, and cried out, “I can not tell a lie,
I chopped down the tree.”
This story is fictitious, but Washington’s journey through
Woodbridge is documented fact. On April 22, 1789, he stayed at the
Cross Keys Tavern at the corner of Main Street and Amboy Avenue,
where the Knights of Columbus building now stands. There is a
signpost on Amboy Avenue commemorating his journey and stay.
This cache is hidden near a winding drive, across the street from
the Amboy Avenue signpost. It’s a perfect spot for bike riding a
dog walking. Stealth may be necessary. Parking is available at the
Dunkin’ Donuts on Amboy Ave. The cache contains a log book and pen,
and it is starting out with some patriotic pencils, stamps, little
green military men, and of course, a dollar bill. Please be careful
removing and replacing the cache; its home would appreciate some
TLC.
Congrats to smrich for the first to find!
