Since I began geocaching less than seven months ago, I have signed my name on more than 500 logs.
This cache is dedicated to those who have placed the caches that got me to bushwhack to tops of mountains, wade through streams, wonder how to snatch a cache container, grope in pursuit of micros, drive Little Red on logging roads, find caches when Little Yellow wasn’t cooperating, overcome my fear of heights, and in general, cause my aging body to endure all sorts of physical trauma.
My thanks to you is a micro in a forest. I’m eagerly awaiting your tales of woe.
Here’s what you need to know:
1. The Parking - if you are smart, and you can find it, park at N 47° 02.639 W 122° 48.388. I was actually nice enough to check to be sure parking is permitted at this location. It is the easiest access. The foolhardy among you can try alternate locations; if you do, have fun!
2. The Trail – if you go the right way, you will be on a fairly level dirt trail to within ~ 250’ of the cache. (and you won't have to walk on water) From there you’re on your own. The cache is on the east side of the trail and less than 12 feet from the trail.
3. The Coordinates – were done by Little Yellow with 27’ accuracy. I welcome any and all input to improve them.
4. The Equipment – everything you need can be found at the cache site.
5. Filling out the log – sign only – no stickers, signature cards, or other small items. You may want to bring something to write with in case the point on the pencil has been broken. (You do remember how to write, right?)
6. Cache Replacement – please leave everything exactly as you found it.
