Geocache Description:

With the coming of New Year’s Day I knew I needed to place a cache or two for people to find on that day. I have worked out four caches: a trad, a puzzle and two challenges. This is the trad.

The Area
The area where these caches are placed is known both as Mountain Area Conservation Area and as Littles Brook Conservation Area. With 36 acres, this is the second largest conservation area in Burlington. Much of the area is steep, with low-lying wetlands in the western portion. Many marked and unmarked trails cross the area and provide a place to stroll and watch nature at work. Access is available at the ends of Creston and Hillside Avenues, and at Mountain Road, where a gate marks the entrance to the land. The Littles Brook Conservation Area can also be accessed from Overlook Park.

The Cache
Since I was in the conservation area hiding a few other caches I stopped to hide a small traditional as well. The cache is a small, square container that I had in my pack. I tucked it in somewhere safe and maybe dry. Sometime in the New Year I will go over with a better container.

Good luck and good caching,
Loch Cache
