How Geocaching Works
The cache is a camo covered container about the size of a pill bottle. It only contains the log. Please replace the container in the same location from which it was retrieved. Don't make it too easy for muggles to spot it or I'll have to find another container.
The cache is located on an island in the Little Wapsipinicon River. Visit the Gallery and look at the vintage photos for clues on how to approach the island. This island is a favorite spot for fishermen, picnickers, children and geese. The cache is located above the 100 year flood level for the river.

Pontoon Bridge
The pontoon bridge has been gone for a long time, but you can still get to the island using the suspension bridge.
Pontoon Bridge
Getting to the island was easy until the spring floods came through town.
The Island
This is a view of the island from Bentley Park near the HWY 281 bridge, but the highway was called HWY 150 back then. B & C Feed Mill used to be located at this spot.
