Arbetet med uppförandet av den nya kyrkan började under sommarhalvåret 1905, sedan byggmästaren A. J. Gustafsson, Färjenäs, vid en s.k. entreprenadauktion den l mars antagits till entreprenör. Torsdagen den 17 oktober 1907 invigdes den nya kyrkan av biskop E. H. Rodhe. Kyrkan uppfördes av gråsten, som sprängdes ur bergen i Rävhall och ur ett berg vid ån Surtan i närheten av gamla kyrkan. Ritningarna var utförda av arkitekt Thor Thorén, Stockholm som omarbetat ritningar av arkitekt Adrian Pettersson. Stilen, som valdes, var gotisk med spetsbågefönster.

Den nya kyrkan fick ett dominerande läge på slätten med ett högt torn med en förgylld sol i väster och koret i öster. Den fick en längd av 29 meter och en bredd av 15 meter och hade c: a 600 sittplatser.

Kyrkorgeln tillverkades av Hammarbergs Orgelfabrik år 1907 och hade 14 stämmor och två manualer. Orgeln trampades av kyrkovaktmästaren, men efter beslut vid kyrkostämma i december 1936 blev orgeln försedd med elektrisk fläkt.

Denna kyrka har ingen kyrkomur och geocachen är ej placerad inne på kyrkoområdet. Ta med dig en egen penna, då behållaren är av typen bison. Tidigare hette denna geocache "KV #33 - Hyssna kyrka".
The work with building the new church was started during the period from March to October 1905, since Master builder A. J. Gustafsson, Färjenäs, at a so called entrepreneur auction the 1 of March had been accepted as entrepreneur. Thursday the 17 of October 1907 the new church was inaugurated by Bishop E. H. Rodhe. The church was build of granite, that was blasted from the mountains in Rävhall and from the mountain by the river Surtan close to the old church. The drawings were made by the Architect Thor Thorén, Stockholm as a re-work from the drawing of the Architect Adrian Pettersson. The style, that was chosen, was Gothic with pointed arch windows.

The new church got a dominating placement on the plain with a high tower with a gilt sun in the west and chancel in the est. It got a length of 29 meter and width if 15 meters and has approximately 600 seats.

The church organ was made by Hammarbergs Orgelfabrik year 1907 and has 14 stops and two manuals. The organ was trampled by the verger, but after a decision at the church meeting in December 1936 the organ got an electrical blower.


This church has no church wall and the geocachen is not placed inside the church area. Bring your own pen, since the container is of type bison. This geocache was previously namned "KV #33 - Hyssna kyrka".
