Geocache Description:

Chepiwanoxet is supposed to mean "Devil's Island" but I didn't see him when I hid the cache.

The cache is located in the Chepiwanoxet Wildlife Preserve and Park. This small pennisula affords a great view of Greenwich Bay. You can very clearly see Greenwich Cove off the the South, Goddard Park, Buttonwoods, Apponaug and several marinas. This is a neat little place off the beaten path and probably overlooked by most. I suggest visiting at low tide and take advantage of the opportunity to look for treasures like sea-glass or perhaps a brick from a house destroyed by the sea maybe 100 years ago. A small parking area is located at the bottom of Alger Avenue. Cache is in a clear Rubbermaid container and has log book, camera, and the usual trinkets and what-have-yous.
Take note of how close you will be to the Goddard Park caches! You could watch geocachers searching from Chepiwanoxet Point! Have fun and remember to Cache in and Trash out.
