Please note: To use the services of geocaching.com, you must agree to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Navigate to one of the car parks on the A470 - either the Storey Arms Centre or the more convenient one a few hundred metres south.

Just past the toilet block start your journey up the 'trade route' which will take you up to the two highest peaks in South Wales - Corn Du at 873m and Pen y Fan at 886m.

After finding the cache do not return the way you have come but instead follow the ridge to the very poignant memorial to the little 5 year boy (Tommy Jones) who died in this desolate area in 1900. The obelisk is located at N51 53.121 W3 27.215 and overlooks Cwm Llwch, a superb example of a glacially created lake-cirque. The inscription on the obelisk reads, "This obelisk marks the spot where the body of Tommy Jones, aged 5, was found. He lost his way between Cwm Llwch farm and the Login on the night of August 4th 1900. After an anxious search of 29 days his remains were discovered on September 1st. Erected by voluntary subscription."

Do not underestimate the terrain and come prepared. After visiting the Tommy Jones memorial you will need a map to navigate back to you car unless you wish to climb back up to the well-worn 'trade route' and I don't think you will feel like doing this!

NB The peak of Pen y Fan is a virtual cache - see GC5250.

Went looking for this first before doing the others on Pen Y Fan, could not find it,so I carried on with my walk.At the end of the walk I had time to spare before it got dark so I had another look I was just about to give up when I saw a plaque for some one who had died I was looking at that when I spotted something sticking out of the rocks,it was the drawstring for the cammo bag with the cache inside. The co-ords are N51 52 861 W 003 26 638 It is about 5ft below the path, look for the plaque.

A very long search in the cold wet and very strong gusty wind. Now looking at past logs I see I had similar problems to other searchers. The GPS was very erratic and led me over the precipitous eastern slope.
I did get to the two tops but the weather was atrocious.

Nearly at the 100 find. Was out walking in the Welsh Hills with a great group of Couch Surfers who where spending the weekend at the nearby YHA, was not planning on visiting any caches on this trip, but had the new iPhone App and decided to give it a shot, and it worked a treat. Weather was not that great, very windy and wet. No TB in the cache which I was a bit disappointed in, ah well you can always have it your way.

Stiff climb up from the bottom of the resevoir. By the time we made it here, it was blowing a gale and torrential rain with next to no visibility. Found the cahce but it was too wet to attempt signing the log book. Stunning walk - at least it would have been if I could have seen anything! TFTC.

We thoroughly enjoyed the walk up to the summit of Pen Y Fan, approaching from the North, especially Messie Nessie who was up the hill like a rat up a drainpipe. The only slightly annoying bit was that a couple of hundred yards from the top I fell over, grazed my knee and put a very impressive hole in a new pair of Berghaus trousers. Still, that's par for the course for me! TNLN. Thanks for the cache.

What a wonderful day I had on the best day of a wet week. I started out from the parking area in the forest near talybont resevoir. I covered a total of 18 miles taking in 7 peaks including Cribben, PenY Fan, the diving board etc etc. It was an awesome walk, spoiled only by the fact the the tourist hordes had climbed Pen y fan.

I bagged 12 caches on the way.

Thank you all for the efforts in placing these caches in such wonderful areas.

We (that is Workshy with C and J) parked up in the car park near the Storey Arms Centre and set off up the nearby pathway. Once up on Corn Du we had no difficulty in locating the cache (it was a very quiet day with not many people about).

There were no trackables in the cache (the Geocoin in the cache inventory seems to have gone).

After visiting Prn y Fan, we returned to the car park via the Tommy Jones Memorial. We would not have gone back this way except for the details given in the cache description.

My co-ordinates must have been a bit out on this one as I spent a while lifting rocks and searching sheep wallows on the grassy slope by the path, whilst Mrs Redvark and Blue the dog passed down helpful suggestions from her rocky perch. After about 20 minutes I gave up and walked back to where she was sitting - to find she'd been sitting on the blasted thing the whole time !!!!

Great Cache - took the TB, but the geocoin is no longer I'm afraid

First of our caches on this mountainous climb. Steffi went for the final retrieval whilst Jane took the first of many 'well-earned' rests! The wind was getting up towards the top and the forecast of gales seemed realistic! Enjoying a fantastic day out walking the peaks while attending the IV S. Wales Event at Talybont on Usk.
Parked up in one of the car parks at Taf Fechan Forest and started our walk up Tor Glas, then cut slightly cross country up to Fan y Big, then along to Cribyn, Pen y Fan, Corn Du then along Craig Fan Du before making a steep descent back to Neuadd Reservoir and along to the car.

What a sad story associated with the cache, I can't imagine a little boy walking this terrain all alone. Despite being a wonderfully sunny day the wind was freezing at the cache site and we were all pleased to have a quick find and briefly admire the views.

Loved, loved, loved all of today’s caches. SL and T4TC.

The 8th and final cache of the day - I had hoped to get the one to south on the ridge, but the rain had set in now and my car was back at the Tal y Bont dam, my walk back via BBC3 and then down the old railway was going to take me a while (3 blinkin' hours is what it took me!) So it 8 caches it would remain as....

A very sad story but even today, these sad and tragic stories still happen. Still - shows you should enjoy life whilst you can - you never know when its going to go!

Right - got to go, get back to the car! TFTC!

The most difficult "one star" cache I have ever found - I searched for around 20 minutes (finding a £20 note frozen into a rocky cleft in the process so I'm not complaining!) because there was no hint. I was giving up and walking back uphill to the path on the ridge when I suddenly spotted the hide.

The N co-ordinates are fine but the W are well out and put you half way down the slope. I took 3 readings and they were all W 003 26.664' +/- .001' (ie. the cache is only a few feet below the ridge)

All this made me a bit late as I was on the West Brom Mountaineering Club record Xmas Meet (79 members to the hills in 2 coaches) most of whom did the full traverse from Pencelli to the Storey Arms road. It had been a lovely cold sunny day but misty on the two highest tops by the time we got there. We didn't see as many other folk as in previous years so our Santas' sweet sacks remained heavier for longer and our walking gear was not admired as much as usual!
Anyway the cache-hunting made me lose track of time and I was still on Corn Du summit at 4pm when I was supposed to be back at the coach at 4.30! So I gave up the idea of revisiting Tommy's obelisk & took the short way down and, with several sections of jogging, I just about made it down in 30 minutes, only to find that a large party had missed the turn off in the mist and so they didn't get back until about 5.15pm. Silly Santas!!!!
Swopped TB's and pleased to find later that this superb spot was my 750th cache find. Everytime I'm here I hope that little Tommy fell asleep quickly with the cold and didn't have to endure the panic of being alone and lost for too long. TVM4tC.

This was the second time that I have been to this cache site. The first time, some months ago, I didn't find the cache. Again, the co-ordinates took me well away from where I eventually found the cache today, and I can see how easily it is not to find this cache. I spread my search out this time and found it quickly.

I also saw that I was the first to sign the new log book!!!!

Thanks for a great location, which was made better by virtue of the fact that the cloud lifted as I arrived, to reveal Pen y Fan gloriously. I'll attach a photo in due course.

Pen y Fan from Corn Du

 December 1, 2008 by fandance (171 found)
My second cache of the day having come up and around the horse shoe route from the Neuadd Res.
Had read in the logs that the log book was soaked so Had planned on only replacing it and a weatherproof bag to protect it. However on finding the cache, it looked like it had been found and played with by a dog or other animal ( there was some dog mess near the cache that I removed) There was no sign of the cahe lid and the box was in a bad way. The inner bag was ripped and torn, the contents waterlogged and ruined.
Log book was soaked right though and it was not possible to dry it out on the hill.
I hope that the cache owner doesn't mind, I removed the cache remains and replaced it with a new box ( had to eat the sandwiches first ) and re-stocked it with some fresh swaps ( Key rings, chemical lights etc.) along with a new cache log book. The replacement cache is a bit smaller than the last one and is covered in a green army stuff sack which I hope will protect it.
I will attempt the dry out the old loj book to save it for return to the cache on my next trip to the Beacons at the end of December.

Our first visit to Corn Du and Pen y Fan. A lovely morning for this climb. Took an age to find it - the GPS was bouncing everywhere - in the end we were looking too low and were practically sitting on it! Fantastic day - in and out of the clouds which kept swirling around the mountain (see pics)- by the time we returned on the muggle track the sun had warmed the land up enough to lift the cloud cover...

17:59 We set out on a walk up to Llyn Cwm Illwch with all the kids, which was particularly lovely. When we got to the lake, the dads (servisal and HMV) discovered you could go all the way up to Pen y Fan from there, so we left the four youngest with the other half of servisal, and took a seven year old up the rest of the way. He chatted all the way up, while we puffed and thought about how much were hurting. Stopped off at the memorial, and then on to the top.
Had a bit of a search for the cache, and were about to give up after a call asking where we were and when we'd get back down, but found it right then.

Had read that this cache was in need of repair so, as I was going to be passing it today, I planned to swap over the plastic box hoever due to a slip on ice during the walk in I damaged the new box myself ( Doh )

Cache is now in a very poor state with the lid cracked and not sealing, inside of cache was frozen solid, so not able to sign log book.

As the geo coin was starting to rust I have picked it up and will clean it before dropping it into a new cache in a couple of days

2 of 5 today. I walked up from the Storey Arms Centre, taking the gentler but far longer path to visit Tommy’s obelisk before the steep climb up to Corn Du and the cache. An easy find in the most likely place, but for me the co-ords and my GPS were conspiring to send me 50 feet further down the hill. The walk up was in glorious sunshine with a good stiff breeze to take the edge off the heat and far-reaching views, but as I was doing the necessary at the cache I watched the thick low cloud rolling in along the ridge from the south west, and within minutes the visibility was below 100 meters and the temperature had dropped considerably. An ample demonstration of how easy it is to get caught out in the mountains if not properly prepared. Poor Tommy….

We checked the mountain weather forecast before we set off this morning and was told that the cloud base would be at 300 meters but the tips of the mountains would be above the cloud tops at around 700 to 800 meters. How wrong they were, with Pen-y-fan at 886 meters and still in thick cloud.
Parked up to the North in the Cwm Llwych parking area as this is our favourite walk up to the top and not as busy as the Story Arms car park. It also takes us past Llyn Cwm Llwych and the Tommy Jones memorial on the way up.
A lone muggle walker latched himself onto us as he felt it safer to walk to the top in company than alone due to the weather conditions. We hadn't done the geocache when he joined us so we explained geocaching to him and he had fun helping to look. Have we a new convert we wonder?
At the top it was much busier than we expected for a Christmas morning, we were hoping to have the mountain to ourselves. Everyone seemed to wearing silly Christmas hats this morning, us included.

The area where Tommy got lost

 November 1, 2006 by opus100 (607 found)
We found this an intriguing cache, particularly because of the story of Tommy Jones. Wondered why someone would let a 5-year-old child wander off on his own. Once home, we looked up the story of Tommy Jones on the internet and found out that Tommy initially went with his cousin to his grandparents' farm and after he became frightened of the shadows, was sent back by the 13-year-old to Login. Tommy never arrived there, because he got lost and accidentally took a footpath up the hill. Very tragic story.

Thanks very much for this special cache! Took Irish honeymoon TB and left Al's Leprechaun Geocoin.

Our first of six today and a great start it was. We loved this climb and were lucky to have great views as well. Started looking at the co-ords with no luck so checked the past logs (paperless caching is great) and saw that co-ords are 40 feet off, so went another 40 feet the wrong way. Anyway, eventually scrambled back to the top to find easily in an obvious spot we hadn't bothered to check on the way down as it was not near the co-ords.
Swapped TB's.
Thanks for dragging us up this brilliant hill.

Lots of people on the hill today, there was some kind of organized charity walk. Watched a superb display of flying a remote control airplane from the top of Corn Du. The GPS wasn't so accurate today, it put us 12m away from the cache. We must have walked up and down the steep slope several times before we located it, in the most obvious of places of course. Traded "SIMMply the Best" TB for "Frigid the Penguin". On to the summit nearby Virtual.

Thought we would take in this cache on the way back down from "pen y fantastic". However, found out it ws a great way to have an arguement with the wife! So cool or what!

 June 17, 2006 by Dory&Nemo (92 found)
There is a bit of a story to this one! Last weekend Nemo's (mad!!) husband took part in the Welsh 3 peaks challenge in aid of Ty Hafan (a children's hospice charity). The challenge involves climbing the highest mountains in North, Mid and South Wales all in one day. So a team of 8 and 2 drivers set out at 4:00 am last Saturday to climb Snowdon. By 8:30 they were back at the car. Then a drive to Cadair Idris for that climb. You may remember it was HOT last weekend - far too hot for climbing such a challenging mountain. All went Ok until the way back down the extremely rocky path when a couple of slips resulted in a twisted knee for Nemo's husband. This meant that the team driver had to do the Pen Y Fan bit of the challenge instead. The knee has now recovered, so this weekend Nemo's husband was determined to finish the challenge. We (and Squirt) went with him for moral support. And he did it (with Squirt)! However, it was really hot again today and we didn't manage the top of Pen Y Fan, but stopped climbing once we'd reached this cache. It had given us the incentive to at least reach the top of Corn Du. Views, as ever, are spectacular from here!

Thought this was a good place to set loose our travel bug 'Daphne the Doplhin'.

Many thanks for the cache

Found the cache this morning along with Pen Y Fantastic. I was with some non caching friends who were a bit puzzled by it all :-)

I switched on my GPS and the distance read 95ft, I walked that down to 45ft and there was the cache. This was possibly my easiest find ever. Took and left nothing.

After completing the cache we calked on up to Corn Du and then to Pen Y Fan. The views were disappointing with visibility down to about 100ft but it did clear a lot on the way down.

We walked back past the Tommy Jones obelisk and I will upload some photos from here later.

Thanks for placing the cache.

Stopped off to try to find the cache whilst walking up Pen y Fan with friends to clear away the cobwebs on a cold and windy New Year's Day, but was unsuccesful. I had read the clue but not the logs - a read of logs beforehand might have helped, as well as looking at some of the photos, which I also hadn't done. Looked fruitlessly for a few minutes, but as it was cold, windy and slippery, and friends were waiting for me, I gave up fairly rapidly. Maybe one to save for the summer months.

I (Simon) went out for a bit of a photographic expedition last night with two of my friends. We took the route up from Storey Arms, but decided to descend down to the forest. On the way past the cache location, I said, "There's a geocache just by there," and my friends said, "Where? Show us!" So I did.

And I found a pair of travel bugs (F4U-1D Corsair and Civility), which I swapped for a pair of AA batteries. (Luckily, I had confidence that the pair in my Maglight were still good for the journey down, as it was dark by this time!)

Civility was listed as being in this cache, but F4U-1D Corsair was not (so I grabbed it). But there was no sign of A.L.F. or The Spanner Bug, which were also meant to be here.

Came here from pen y fantastic with MarcoXono.
Luckily there were only a couple of muggles about, and they were more interested in the cairn than hanging around the cache site.
Took a few minutes to locate - had to be careful with footing in the immediate area - it's quite steep!
1300 hrs - Located the cache, and a sorry state it was in too
The cache lid was not on properly - the log was damp, and the cache contents smelled.
I removed some of the old tat in the cache, cleaned the inside of the container with a wipe and removed the plastic bag the container was in, which served no purpose.
Left some felt tip pens and 2 TB's, TNSL.
I wish I had more to leave in the cache!
Maybe the next visitors can bring loads of new goodies to leave in the cache - it deserves it

This one needed to be a bit special. I’ve climbed Pen Y Fan a time or two in the past but I’d always used the ‘Trade Route’, starting from the car park just up the road from the Storey Arms on the A470. This time I wanted to make a circular walk of it so I tackled it from the north. I parked up in the car park at SO 02483 24845 at 04:30 this morning, just as it was getting light. Knowing how unpredictable the weather is on this hill, my rucksack contained all I might conceivably need so was a might heavier than usual I walked the couple of miles along the lanes to the other car park at the northern end of Cwm Llwch and from there, climbed up onto the ridge above Llyn Cwm Llwch and on to the Tommy Jones Memorial. One wonders just why a 5 year old was out on his own in the first place. Very sad... From there I carried on up the cache site at Corn Du. I spotted the cache from quite away off, the white carrier bag being very obvious and not hidden in any way. I dropped off a couple of travel bugs and re-hid the box so that it couldn’t be spotted by the casual ‘passer-by’. The log book is damp and going a bit mouldy but is still just about serviceable. It was about 06:45 now and the cloud that had covered the hill top just started to lift giving me an excellent panorama in the early morning sunshine. I had the place completely to myself, not another soul in sight anywhere. Wonderful. I sat on a flat rock and drank a bottle of ‘Circle Master’ that I’d bought for the occasion It’s so peaceful up there before all the tourists arrive.
I carried on to the cairn at Pen Y Fan summit and then back to the car along the Cefn Cwn Llwch ridge. I was almost back to the car park before I crossed paths with the first of the days ‘climbers’. We chatted briefly about conditions at the top (as one does) and carried on to the car having covered about 8 miles. What better way is there to spend a few hours early on a summer morning?
Why did it need to be a bit special... ? It was my 1000th cache

This place is amazing. Like those green-grass mountains, quite different from that I’m used to in Portugal (rocks, rocks and sometimes even more rocks). Real nice walk to Corn Du, Pen Y Fan and Cribyn.
Take BCB TB for a ride and find new friends. I will post a photo as soon he rides a bike.
I and N’Ping signed the logbook, take some coins and leave fluorescent tri-colour marker.
Thanks wjrs5

Found the cache nice and easily after a rather steep ascent. Monika,Toine,Tim, Vicky and Josh the dog enjoyed the trip up and the fantastic views - shame about Toine and Vicky's sunburn!!!!

Left the Biker Club TB and took Back Pack TB - plan to get the camera developed and add pics to the relevant site and send the cute little bug on its way again!!!

Nice cache.

Found without too much trouble using the coordinates posted by the previous visitor. The Beacons were looking great today – the first time I have been up here for 25 years and it used to be the mountains we came to all the time in my youth. Today I walked the horseshoe starting at Taff Fechan and taking in the four peaks. Left the Camera Back Pack TB to go on another adventure and took the J2 TB and geocoin.

Great Day for a walk in the Beacons

This was a really nice cache but, The co ordinates really must be changed! The GPS reads very accurately in this location so there is no excuse for it being 48.5 ft out of position.
The current co-ords are down an extremely steep bank and can be quite dangerous.

The actual co-ordinates are...

N 51°52.863 W003°26.640

I sound quite annoyed about the position being wrong, but actually its the fact i had walked right by it at the top of the mountain, i looked like a complete fool trying to disguise myself from fellow walkers on the side of a bare mountain, were actually sat right on top of the cache and found it in 2 seconds when deciding to help me!!!

;-)

Took Nothing and left J2 TB and UK Hitch-hiker Geo coin.

Nice round trip taking in Cribbyn, Pen y Fan and Corn Du - it was freezing cold, and very icy, so we were very glad the cache was nice and easy to find!

Left a toy car from GCME87, took the wind-up woodpecker (and then left it in GCGAYP the following day).

A very nice cache - thanks!

After doing Cadair Idris the day before this was a challenge but well worth it for the unimaginably stunning views. Took a while to find in deep snow but then we heard Wadders utter the best line of the weekend "anybody want to sign a log" It's a sad story about Tommy and we went over to the memorial obelisk after to pay our respects. Heading back after we turned into silly b*****s and had some fun in the snow. My first time in the welsh mountains and thanks to Davyboy for bringing me here.

OOOOhhhhh YES!!
What a fantastic climb, with stunning views, in extreme weather!
There we are trudging up the side of the mountain with all the gloves, hats, thermals etc when this "Plonker" (i was going to disguise that word but thought better of it considering the safety issues)went past us in a pair of shortsothers were there in trainers, it beggers belief!!!
After Cadair yesterday this was a sinch, but because of the weather the views were fantastic, the snow was fun and the snack on top was one of the stranger places i've had lunch!
The cache was found after a longish search that was becoming desperate (it was also quite damp)
TNLN
Thanks for a great one, certainly in my five caches.
Went down to the obelisk and paid my respects to T.Jones...........................RIP Tommy

. Fantastic, my number one cache beating the ones yesterday at Cadair Idris. Another hard climb but worth every step.

The cache took a bit of finding but thankfully Wadders sniffed it out. The co-ordinates were 50 feet out. TNLN as cache was a bit damp.

Thanks,

February 27, 2005 by davy boy (2080 found)
Found it at last on the second attempt as the xmas attempt failed due to weather, but the weather was worse today as there was snow on the ground and lots of ice.
Coords seemed a bit out,as we seemed to be searching too low but wadders found it in the end.
This mountain has got to be my favorite place and the veiws are stunning.
These two caches are definatly NO 1!!!!!!!
Thanks for a great cache and will be back in the summer with the other half and kids.

We found this cache, easily, after a nice and easy walk up the hills. On our way from Poland to Norway we thought some caches in Wales would be worth a detour. The day was very clear, but windy, so it was worth it :-)

Thank you for the cache and for showing us the Brecon Beacons National Park! :-)

Found it in atrocious weather today. 50 yard visibility, blowing hard at the top, and v cold! Lovely... not!

I'm sure it's a wonderful view on a sunny day! See my photos logging my visit at Pen-y-fantastic (GC5250).

Found the oberlisk on the way down - what an awful story...

Thanks :-)

Easy find, but the weather was closing in. Great views until I got my camera out.

Cache very wet, but Noah's Ark would have had trouble in the rain we had this week. Cache note very wet. If someone could replace it soon that would be good

TNLN except retrieved Welsh Dragon TB. As we were on holiday with no internet access we just had to capture him and hope for the best. Hope he doesn't mind a trip to London

Phew, found it at last! Came to this one after doing the Pen Y Fantastic virtual first. The GPS had me looking a fair few feet away from where I eventualy found it, checking earlier logs it looks like I'm not the only one. I took a waypoint where I did find it, I can send that to the cache owner if they want to update co-ords?

Anyway the weather was foul and I nearly gave up in the howling wind and freezing rain. Only with help from my girlfriend via SMS when she checked earlier logs online for me and sent me pertinent information was I back on track! *hearts* She gets co-finder kudos on this one, even being in a different hemisphere cannot stop her!

Due to the weather I only scrawled a brief log in the book. I took the huge Land Rover TB as it was the biggest thing in there and made the box rather full. I left a silver Welsh teaspoon.

Thanks for the rather punishing workout and rewarding cache! :)

This is near to home so went up one afternoon after work. Took my girlfriend with her kids and they had fun trying to find the box. Warm clothing was needed even at this time of year as the weather changes very quickly here. The Defender is in real Defender country up there. Wilma and Betty are on the move to a cave not too far from here. Hopefully they will be happy there.

Stonking walk. Did the circuit from Brecon, up Alt Dhu and along the ridge to the north face of Pen y Fan. Then down to Corn Dhu and the cache.

T Geocaching compass
L Brecon souvenir pen

Outted the Eastern Shore Bug

Went down via Tommy Jones obelisk and then via the lake (thank God said the dog!) and back down the valley to Brecon.

Wonderfully quiet...unlike the Story Arms route!

A fine Welsh day for a walk -- gusty winds, dense fog and mist... very nice! I found the cache easily once I made the top, and signed in, leaving a travel bug from Maryland's Eastern Shore, a Yellow Jeep from the US, and started the Brecon Beacon Bug, which will return with me to the US.

Thanks for putting this one in -- it was an exhilarating hike.

Our first cache whilst on holiday in Brecon, and did we pick a tough one to start.Ten of us made the climb plus holly the dog. What a great walk we started at the trade route and did the round route coming back down to the Story arms centre. It was very busy with lots of walkers around but the cache was found very quickly without drawing any attention to ourselves.T/nothing L/nothing apart from travel bug Mark's breakdown truck.
Thanks for a great cache the views from the top were fantastic and the walk of about 5 miles great. For anyone else this is well worth doing and the youngest in our group was only 6 years old.
Thanks again.

Set of on a Lord of the rings style quest on this one. Set off from the shire, well Swansea, with a wooden ring (I really need to replenish my cache stash) and eventually found myself on the summit of Mount Doom or was it Corn Du. Alas weakness overcame me and instead of casting it into Llyn Cwm Llwch I put it in the cache. And signed the log. Sorry Gandalf.

Stopped off on way back to Gloucestershire from a long weekend away in Gower with friends. It was a perfect day to climb up Pen-y-Fan as the weather was dry and there was no wind. Enjoyed the views from Corn Du and later Pen-y-Fan. Found the cache easily. Unfortunately the box had got wet inside as the lid had come loose due to the box being very full. Tried to dry it out a bit with tissues before rehiding.
Took Geolutin, left nothing.

Thanks, NWAS

Having just been on to Pen y Fan it was inevitable that we would attempt this cache too. Found it easily despite the wind picking up and the cloud descending rapidly! Fortunately we were kitted up well so all remained unfazed! Took nothing, left nothing.

After my unsuccessful attempt at "Alien Encounters " I walked along to this cache and found it fairly easily .
I took the Magic Tree and left a Scooby Doo key ring and signed the log-book. Quite a long walk for a 63 year old but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Many thanks for this great cache.

Cool cache! And we were the first to find it, too.

Had a pleasant walk to the summit, then continued on to Pen y Fan, then on to Cribyn, back up Pen y Fan, and finally back down off the mountains. All in all, a good day out.

Took nothing, but left a French GeoLutin. See (visit link)
