Located in Pleasant Valley Park. Bring the kids, there's playground equipment, tennis courts, Soccer/Football fields and a Pavilion. No pets or alcohol is permitted in the park. The park closes at 11pm.
The cache is a Large Tupperware container with a white lid inside a bag to help protect it from the rain. This cache is easy because I want you to find it. I guess it’s more about the Story than the cache!
How the Story cache works:
Once you find the cache and have logged your find the traditional way, go ahead and add to the story in the ‘Story Book’. Please keep your story entries somewhere between 10 and 100 words (that’s about 10 – 15 lines max). It is not necessary to read the whole book in order to continue it. Just read the last few entries. In fact the fun will be seeing where or how your entry takes the story in different directions without understanding the whole story. Be creative. Your entries could be humorous, serious, about this cache hunt, about the previous cache finder, your days experiences or anything that tickles your funny bone! I have already started the story, “Once upon a time…”. OK not too creative I know, but you can do better.
Story entries can be ANYTHING interesting--it is your choice since you worked hard to find the cache. But be sensible here...kids could also be reading this, and please, nothing tasteless or vulgar.
Also, let me know when you think the ‘Story Book’ needs replacing. The idea behind this cache is I thought we could read it at future events like the MGS monthly picnics, for example. It’s bound to take many twists and turns and should provide a good laugh.
