What:
|
65 Geocachers (as of 2/9) are registered to attend the merriment which will include a poker run, dinner, and a raffle. The full agenda can be viewed below!
|
Registration
Pre-registration for the event can be done via the MiGO web site. Pre-registration will end on February 15, 2003. After this date, you can RSVP through the web site, but we will not be able to accept payments.
If you already registered but need to see the payment options page again,
click here to view the information and/or make payment.
Pre-registration can be done via PayPal or Money Order. In addition to a lower registration fee, anyone who pre-registers will get the coordinates to the two bonus poker run caches prior to the event, giving you more time to gather the two bonus cards to use in your final poker hand. The registration packages are described below and are required to cover the expenses of this event.
Please note! The facilities we were able to find are not animal friendly. Unfortunately, our furry friends will have to sit this one out. :(
Single Cacher Registration - $8 (or $10 at the door)
For a single attendee, this is the registration for you. It includes one (1) entry into the poker run, one (1) entry into the drawings, one (1) event patch, and dinner.
|
Family/Household Registration - $16 (or $20 at the door)
If you're bringing a group, this is the registration for you. It includes one (1) entry into the poker run, two (2) entries into the drawings, two (2) event patches, and dinner for your Family or Household. Please only register using this if you are a Family or Household. A group of friends attending together do not qualify. ;)

Agenda
Slide Show
Keep On Cachin' is putting together a slideshow for the event. The slideshow is already at 100+ pictures and will be on display throughout the event. If you have digital images from Geocaching adventures, please email them to koc@blodgettoil.com
Please Bring
UPDATE! With 65 people already registered to attend, it would be helpful if some of you could bring pop, juice, drink mix, or some other kind of cold drink to share. If you have no good ideas for desserts or snacks, that would be most helpful. If you could email me at mike@wunderware.com to let me know, it would help us to budget what we need to buy for food.
We ask everyone to please bring a dessert or snack and an item for the MiGO Benefit Raffle. All other food and beverages will be supplied.
Dinner
Dinner will be provided at the event. A spaghetti dinner will be served with all plates, utensils, cups, etc. being supplied.
MiGO Benefit Raffle
Please bring one Geocaching related article to donate to the raffle. We'll have a table laid out with donated items to preview. Bring one of your signature items, a travel bug, a log book from one of your caches, etc. to include in the activity. During the meet and greet, warm up, and dinner you can visit the table, view the items, and buy additional tickets for the raffle. All proceeds go into the MiGO account for future activity funding.
Poker Run
There will be a poker run as part of the event's activities. When you sign in, you will be given a list of poker run caches and their coordinates. Note which group you are assigned to prior to leaving for the poker run. Each group will start at one of five caches. You are not given the whole coordinates for the rest of the caches you must find at the start. Once you have found your first cache, there will be the missing pieces of the coordinates to the second cache, and so on.
Once you have gathered as many of the five available event cards as you would like, you should return to the Hall. There will also be two pre-event card caches that you can do if you pre-register. You can use these 'draw' cards to supplement the hand you make during the main event. You do not need to collect all five if you choose not to. You will simply have to make the best hand you possibly can from the cards you collected.
The cards are contained in envelopes, and all the envelopes will be numbered to correspond to the cache it was in. Only one card per cache can be used in your hand and any opened envelop will be disqualified. Bring your envelopes to the registration table to have your hand recorded. After dinner the winner will be announced and will receive a prize. The cutoff for submission will be 5:00pm and no hands will be registered that arrive after that time.
