Geocache Description:

Pinecrest Lake is a beautiful spot which offers something for just about everyone...swimming beach, paddle and pontoon boats, fishing, hiking and now.....

This was the first cache placed at this lake. Mike Morris and family also placed some here Memorial Day weekend, 2002, but when I ran into Mike he was fishing on the lake and hadn't placed any yet. I gave him the new, unpublished coordinates and I would guess he will be the first finder....unless fishing was just too much of an attraction !

The bridge, the river, the lake and the outlet.

This cache will be reached by hiking by most folks who go after it and that hike is about 2.3 miles each way. You can hike around the entire lake, and I recommend that. I usually go in on the more highly developed side of the lake along a mostly level trail. This gives you good views of some nice cabins.

You'll have to cross a bridge at the river that feeds the lake. The cache is somewhere in that area. Once you have found the cache, continue your circular hike and cross the damn and then the metal-mesh walkway that lets you look right down on water flowing out of the dam. The water was running as I had never seen it on this Memorial Day weekend.

How many snakes are in this picture?

The cache is camo in color and about the size of two band-aid cans fastened together.
