Geocache Description:

A half mile walk from the A343

The Wayfarers Walk is a long distance path which runs from Emsworth, near Portsmouth, on the South Coast to Inkpen Beacon, a total distance of about 70 miles.

This cache is located a few miles from the Inkpen Beacon end. It is quite close to the Three Legged Cross road junction on the A343 Newbury to Andover road. There is a house here which is named Three Legged Cross which used to be a pub. Opposite is a small building which used to house a small telephone exchange. The cache is on the edge of Grotto Copse, believed to be named after the wonderfully shaped house nearby. When you walk along the Wayfarers Walk, there are great views to the north, and you will be able to see Highclere Castle and, further away, Donnington Castle.

This cache kept on getting damp so I have upgraded it now to an ammo box. Please feel free to leave and/or take postcards!
