Geocache Description:

There is a busy but free car park at N51°18.901 W002° 49.977 and from there it’s a short walk to the cache. When you remove the inner core you will see a black “O” ring seal in a position that makes one end of the tube shorter than the other. Reassemble so that the short end fits into the part with the red dot. The “O” ring seal makes it moisture proof, please only use gentle finger pressure on the red dot end for removal and reassembly. You will need to bring your own marking implement to record your visit. The nearby Millennium green has picnic tables and benches. When the Cheddar Valley Railway closed in 1965 the old track bed was used as an unofficial footpath. Local people formed The Cheddar Valley Walk Society in 1978 and it’s aim, in conjunction with local government, of improving the route for use by walkers and cyclists became a reality. There is now a footpath / cyclepath which connects with Sandford to the north and Axbridge to the south.
