The Ridiculous Green Helm

Once worn by the order of The Knights who say "Eh?", in the dark ages, the Green Helm was a much sought after talisman of great power! It bestows upon the wearer an appearance of great silliness! This is the last remaining helm to survive and is said to be guarded by a mighty beast! The diminutive white RAT!. Do not be fooled by the guardian's size or appearance, those who have done so in the past have not lived to tell the tale (it tends to attack the ankles)!

The Helm can be found at the posted coordinates on the west side of Green's Creek a short bushwhack from the trails. You do not have to cross the creek if you make use of the parking lot at N 45°28.004 W 075°34.900. If you manage to defeat the cache guardian be sure to leave him in place so he may continue to guard the Helm!

The cache swag is in a plastic container fixed in the roof of the helm. It is held in place by velcro straps and can be removed.

Beware the White Rat!

Remember that nice little white bunny in 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail'? Be careful!
The helm lies somewhere in this tree...

Beautful November day to be off work and out enjoying a little geocaching. About time I got this one off my to-do list don't you think?

Thanks for the hide.

This was my eighteenth of twenty one finds on my walk from Trim Rd to west of Green's Creek where Montreal Rd meets the 174. It was my twenty seventh find of thirty for the day. I didn't see a Green Helm, only a big Lock-n-Lock full of goodies and a log book. I signed the log book and hit the trail in search of more caches. Thanks for placing the cache and keeping it going since 2003.

Found with RDVRK and BWORM. This is a funny one: those two went off ahead of me and found it first. I took the trail from the parking lot straight in and got to Green's Creek. I could hear their voices across the river and in the bush. I couldn't figure out how they got across the water. Thank goodness for cell phones - I called them and could hear them not only on the phone but also their 'actual' voices. They then explained it to me. Go and enjoy this cache and you may see what I'm talking about!

SL, TNLN, TFTC, Cheers-
