An easy to find cache in Sitka, Alaska

*NOTE* IT LOOKS LIKE WE HAVE MUGGLES RAIDING THE TOURIST FRIENDLY CACHES - PLEASE DO NOT PUT ANY TRAVEL BUGS IN THIS CACHE

The Centennial cache was placed as an easy to find cache for those with limited time or transportation. It is close to the tour docks and is suitable for quick find if you are off one of the tour ships. The cache is in a black amo box and contains many goodies.

This cache had to be relocated from its original position some yards away due to a problem and now is not quite as finder friendly. Be careful on the rocks.

See the web page at the top of this listing to find a web cam of the general cache area. Although this is not my page it does have some great scenes available of the area.

Introduced some friends to geocaching. This was right out in the open, so they found it, but since it wasn't an ammo box, I wasn't sure that was it. Opened it, and sure enough. Actually, it wasn't closed tight and things were quite damp. It needs a new log, tho we were able to find a space and sign it even tho it was wet. We left a TB, let it air out for a few minutes, but we had to move on then, so closed it tight and hid it better. TFTC

As usual, geocaching took us to a interesting place off the beaten path. We left a travel bug from Washington just starting it's journey. TFTC

This hide was at the dock where my cruise ship tender dropped us off. Thanks for making it cruise-friendly!
