This year the World Wide Flash Mob will be held on June 13th all over the world. At present, there are 89 events in 23 countries. This is the first one in Indiana, thus far. Six years ago, I hosted my 1st WWFM at the Four Freedoms Monument near the location of this year's mob. I've spoken with someone at the Pagoda who said that we are welcome to hold this year's mob at the Pagoda on the riverfront. If construction is not going on, we will have it on the roof. If construction is going on, we will have it outside the Pagoda on the river's side of the building.
When trying to decide on a theme for this year's mob, I had difficulty thinking up something original. Then it occurred to me as I put on my favorite tie-dyed t-shirt (courtesy of Mama Jane & BJ06) that we could wear tie-dyed apparrel. So, dig it out of the closet or get instructions on how to make one from Mama Jane and join us on the riverfront for a flash mob. If you don't have tie-dyed stuff, wear something bright and colorful.
Here's how it will work: Show up a few minutes before flash time. Wait in your car or stroll the riverfront until 12:00 noon at which time we will descend upon ground zero. Please bring a card or piece of paper with your geocaching name on it. You will drop these into a container I will have at GZ. We will get in a group picture or two and hang out until 12:15 when we will leave the area.
New Geocaching guidelines state that an event has to be at least 30 minutes long. We will leave the Pagoda area at 12:15, stroll down the riverfront and hang out, catching up with old friends and making new ones for as long as we want. If anyone wants to, there are several places at Tropicana where we could get lunch. I'm open to suggestions.
