The Cache
Series Hill Walk 1, 2 and 3 is for those who like to do a
little hiking and takes you to three summer farms in the hills
between Rudsbygd in Lillehammer ( Follebu in Gausdal) and
Saksumdalen in Lillehammer (Augedalen in Gausdal).All three caches
can be found in one trip.
There is even
possible to find an additional bonus cache (Hill Walk
Bonus).
We recommend
that you find the caches in the order 1,2 and 3. This will make the
Bonus cache come more naturally. But other combinations are also
possible.
To get to the
starting point at Kinna summer farm you will have to use a toll
road (yoll NOK 30 in 2009). There are two possible entry
points. From Follebu in the north or From Jørstadmoen in the south.
The coordinates for the toll barriers are given as waypoints, as is
also the coordinates for the trailhead.
There is also a

Further there
is a track for the legs 1 to 2 and 3 back to 1 in the album
section.Those two legs have a good path netween them and are also
signed and marked.
The leg between
2 and 3 is also signed and marked. The marking used to follow
the old path shown on the map, But it has now become very
unclear when coming from the south. So watch out - but of course -
you have your GPSr.
The legs are
between 2.5 and 3.0 kilometers, the whole trip should take you less
than three hours - cache finding and resting
included. |
