All caches must be found in the Quad Cities AND only Caches logged on or after 01/10/2010 will count. So what that means is this: You will need to find and log 26 caches within the four counties of the Quad Cities: Nez Perce and Latah counties in Idaho and Asotin and Whitman counties in Washington. Here’s the process that you will have to follow to complete this Challenge:
1. Log a cache that you have found on or after 01/10/2010 that qualifies for each letter of the alphabet. Past logs do not count.
2. Create a public bookmark called “Quad City Geocacher's ABC Challenge" or if you are not a member, you can email me through my profile a list of each cache, which letter of the alphabet it represents and the date you found it. Example: G - Giant Whale found 01-20-10 Whitman County • Include this puzzle cache in your bookmark; but since you haven’t found it yet, it doesn’t count – you will need another “Q” cache • Please keep this bookmark public for a minimum of 2 months after completing the challenge to allow other cachers to view which caches qualify and to have a sample. • Include one cache you have found for each letter of the alphabet on or after the date 01/10/2010 within the 4 counties. You must find at least ONE cache in each of the four counties. • In the cache bookmark comments, include the date you found the cache and which county the cache is in. Caches found before the placed date of this cache do not qualify for this Challenge.
3. Successfully find and log caches (events and cito caches are not valid for this challenge) the names of which begin with each letter of the alphabet. (26 caches) Examples: The Cat’s Meow = T Whiskers of the Cat = W Marmalade Cat = M Boots =B “King of the Cats” = K 1 More Black Cat = Won’t count for this challenge cache! One More Black Cat = O A look at your alphabetized bookmark list will indicate whether or not you have each letter.
4. Once you complete your list, post a note to this cache page for the final approval with your list as either a bookmark or send it to me. You may go ahead and find the final cache listed as a waypoint after you complete the challenge, but wait to log it until I have verified your complete of the cache according to the rules.
5. The posted coordinates are not correct. Do not attempt to go there.
6. This cache has been given this particular difficulty rating simply because I do not know which caches you will do to complete this challenge, it will take some time to complete, and some planning as well.
