This is a spectacular region with excellent camping facilities and lots of great walks.Fantastic views await those who seek this cache...
Cache replaced on 13th June 2010.
It can get rather cool in this region (It was -2 the morning I placed this cache - and -3 the morning I replaced it!), but you really should camp at least one night here to appreciate the area.
Camp sites have hot showers! which is a nice luxury.
Start your walk at S28 49.885 E151 56.265.
Your destination should be obvious from here...
The walk is 3km return, The track is well constructed up to the start of some granite slabs after which you follow white paint marks.
The granite is steepish but don't be put off by this - take your time and you will not regret your efforts. (my trusty old dunlop volleys are the best shoe for this in my humble opinion).
Do not do this walk if the rock is wet.
Cache is an ammo box - hidden in a rock crevice.
