Warning

Please note: To use the services of geocaching.com, you must agree to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Cache is close to the crossroads of a roman road sarn Helen and st illtyd’s way

This section of Sarn helen starts along the B4242 it is a narrow lane leading up in to the woods can be very wet in places after rain good boots are needed for this track it leads up in to the Brecon beacons,

Alternatively you can start in crynant or resolven and follow st illtyd’s way to the crossroads if you know the area or have a good map there are many smaller paths you can use the resolven side is used by the rally GB so it is best not to use this part when rally is on there are many routes you can take from the welsh valleys best to check it on the map first.

Please be careful as this cache is in a working forestry from time to time you may encounter forestry commission workers, sarn helen is a road open to the public and is used by off roaders and horses.

This cache location is on an exposed mountain and the weather can change suddenly on the day I placed the cache it was cold and very wet please go prepared for this

Found with my Brother richie91 whilst having fun on Rally GB. This was just up from our junction where we were at. Also, nice to finish off my 40th birthday with a cache find.

I think I had the mountain to myself - and appeared to be the first to find it in 2009. The container bag is quite torn but I folded it around.
Didn't take anything but left an 'England' key fob which is no use to me as a Welshman! (I'd be too ashamed to let anyone see it).
Cached otherwise secure with plenty of gifts.
