A picnic event on Readymoney beach, Fowey to coincide with the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
Readymoney is a small beach close to the entrance to Fowey Harbour and to the east of Fowey town centre.
The aim is to congregate on the beach at 12pm come rain or shine.
Please bring your own picnic lunch and any other bits of paraphernalia you think you might want...Jubilee-themed attire would be great, but is not obligatory, although I will be judging and awarding a prize to the best dressed attendee!
Please note that a dog ban operates on this beach at this time so please do not bring your geohounds to this event.
There are public conveniences at the beach but there is no lifeguard service and barbeques are not allowed.
There is also no parking at the beach and vehicle access and street parking around Fowey is limited. For those attending just the Picnic event, the closest car park is approximately 500m away at N50 19.923 W004 38.870. Parking charges are as follows: up to 2hrs - £2, 2-3hrs - £3.80, 3-4hrs - £4.20, day session to 6pm - £5.60.
