I placed this cache while watching the lunar eclipse from the top of Bear Mountain. This is one of my favorite spots. It was a beautiful clear night, very cold, but a nice night for viewing the eclipse. I walked up the mountain with my headlight off; the moon provided all the light. The summit provides beautiful views any time of the year. The cache is located at 2328ft several hundred feet off the trail. No bushwhacking is necessary to reach the cache. Please stay on the rocks, the plants don’t recover from human wear and tear. The cache is full of Geo Caching goodies… Take something if you like, and leave something better. Have fun.
