Geocache Description:

Pipi's Linear Motion Hideout requires a short walk, with a little of that requiring that you "hunch over" a bit. Bring a flashlight and avoid flooding conditions or rainy days.

From I-57, take the University Avenue exit towards the east. At the first traffic signal, turn right (south). Turn right (west) again on Springfield Avenue, continuing to a park. Turn off Springfield to your right (North), just past a footbridge, and park here:
N 40 06.869 W 088 17.366.

Bring a flashlight. Don't attempt this one during flooding or rainstorms (certain dangers may present themselves).

Around N 40 07.089' W 88 17.213 you'll find a good spot to cross the water. The cache container was replace in mid June 2003, again in mid July, for a third time in December 2003, and yet again in June 2006. It is now a small nalgene jar, nearly a microcache, with very little room for trinkets (just a few very small things, a logbook and pencil).

The cache container is permanently chained to an eyebolt, please don't try to detach it! Please take care to place the cache container deep within it's hidy spot, and cover with some woody debris so that local kids don't find it. A picture of the cache container is shown below:

Please sign the log and take care to rehide the cache! Thanks.

SPECIAL NOTE: Some folks have suggested a closer parking spot that results in a shorter (and less interesting) walk to the cache. As of 16 April 2005, we noticed that access via the route they suggested is now posted with no trespassing signs. Please respect private property and either park where we suggested OR park some distance north of the alternate site suggested in some of the log entrys for this cache. Thanks.
