The cache is not at the listed coordinates, but it is within two
miles. You must solve the puzzle to find Fred and Wilma's hotel.
The cache is a magnetized altoids box painted brown. Bring your own
pen. The area can be busy at times. Be discreet and please, no
spoilers in the logs.
Fred and Wilma were at home when SAC issued the notice that
operations would go on hiatus for the whole month of
December.
This vicissitude unsettled Fred but Wilma immediately was seeing
visions of a winter vacation. The only question in her mind -
mountain or sea? Fred called Barney to find out if SLAC was closing
down too. No luck, Barney was already gone on a Sierra vacation of
his own. Old Barn’, he was on the ski patrol this year and
was a real hotdog downhill. Wilma was already in their office
yelling, “Why waste time, I am getting out our travel stuff
and we can decide where we want to while away the month.”
“Look at this one, a scuba lesson every day for five days and
you can earn a certificate.” “And this one, it looks
superb, with palm trees and white beaches.” He was thinking
of a siesta in a hammock hung between two palm trees. ‘OK,
let’s do it, let’s call the travel store and make the
reservations”, was his response. “My Scotch forebears
might be turning in their graves right now,” he chuckled. For
such little advance notice, they were able to get a pair of
reasonably priced tickets on LACSA flight 46 to Costa Rica. Wilma
got a sub for her teaching job and they were off the following
Friday for four weeks of fun and frolic. On the plane, Fred said
with a wink to Wilma, “There is a geocache near our
hotel.”
