Geocache Description:

In the East Village neighborhood of New York City, on the Lower East side of Manhattan, there are still over 70 community gardens. They were created by local residents, on empty and unused city land, over the last 30 years. Today, as part of the Green Thumb program, most of these gardens are protected as NYC parks. But in order to preserve them, access is limited. This cache is part of the East Village tour of community gardens.

This garden is a community garden that became a sculpture garden. The cache is available, and the garden can be viewed anytime of the day or night. It is best seen from the Northern side.

The coordinates given have a general accuracy, geocaching sense should kick in soon after your arrival.
