Geocache Description:

Meet at 9:00am on Saturday, December 27, 2003 in the parking lot of the Belcarra Picnic Area as labelled on the map you can find here. We'll gather at a covered picnic area (there's a link to a picture below).

Here's a chance to meet some of the lower mainland's most (in)famous cachers, and work off some of that Christmas dinner too. Let's get together for a hike to three caches located in Belcarra Regional Park. The difficulty/terrain ratings are based on those for the actual caches we'll be hunting.

We'll start with Spy-glass by The Wet Coast Explorers, then continue to WE V - Blood Beach by Jomarac5, and finally Admiralty Point by Ward, June, Wally and Theodore (aka MrGigabyte). If that's too much hiking for you, no sweat (well, okay, maybe a little sweat) the last cache is optional as we'll be passing the parking lot again on the way. At least two of these cache owners are likely to be there, so our chances of having to log no-finds are slim.

We'll meet at the parking lot at 9:00am. If you're planning on coming, post a note to this cache page before the event date so we'll know to wait for you in case you're running a bit late. I figure we'll start the hike when everyone's there, but if you're not there by 9:15 we'll start without you. If you're later than that, you'll have to run to catch up.

There's a discussion about this here in the Canada Forum in case you have any questions, or you can just email me through my profile.

Incidentally, this whole thing got started because I'm nearing my 100th cache find, and one of these three caches (or maybe the event cache) will be it. If you've got a milestone coming up, join us, let us know, and we can celebrate together!
