Geocache Description:

THIS CACHE WILL BE DISABLED UNTIL AFTER JAN. 03, 2005 BECAUSE THE CACHE CONTAINER NEEDS TO BE REPLACED AND FERNWOOD WILL BE CLOSED OVER THE HOLIDAY.

Located in Fernwood Botanical Gardens and Nature Preserve along the beautiful St. Joseph River. This cache container is small with room only for a logbook and small trade items. No bushwhacking or leaving the trail is required or allowed.

Parking is only allowed at the Mary Plym Visitor Center. Please enter the grounds through this entrance before starting your search for all Fernwood caches.

Since there are Visitor Fees (see below), take time to hike the other numerous trails and gardens, take a break with visits to the Nature Center and Gallery Exhibits and if your present at lunch time you can bring your own picnic or select something from the cafe.

Please make sure you pick up a map of the grounds and follow Fernwood's no off trail hiking rules.

Be sure to visit the other cache(s) found on the grounds as well. If you forgot to print off cache sheets or the coordinates, ask the receptionist at the visitor center.
