Geocache Description:

A very simple two-step multi to show the actual birth place of a real rock classic.
To find the cache, gather in crowds at the coords above, take the same path the Led Zeppelin members took up the hill and the cache is at the HEAVEN waypoint shown below.

The above coordinates points to the spot where two of the members of Led Zeppelin, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant, happened to meet on a sunny summers day in 1970.
They were so happily surprised by this unplanned rendez-vouz that they immediately decided to change their plans and spend a few days camping right there in Änggårdsbergen, which you could do back in those days - if you were two rock stars that is.

They grabbed their tents and took off up the hill on the little path sign-posted Österberget (which they later would refer to as Bron-Yr-Aur due to a well known deficiency in the Anglo-American foreign language teaching methodology). After the climb on the ancient steps, dating back to the 11th century, they were so thrilled by the awesome climb that they immediately took their guitar and vocals and performed the very first 40 minute long version of Stairway to Heaven.

A sample excerpt from the lyrics gives clear evidence of the happy mood Page and Plant were in at the occation:

And a new day will dawn
For those who stand long
And the forests will
Echo with laughter
Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, ooh, whoa, oh

(The last line is believed to be from Page when he repeatedly, but only almost, fell down the rather steep hill side.)

Stairway to Heaven is grequently placed in the top ten on lists of the best rock songs ever, so it is a definite milestone in the Swedish music export wonder saga.

At the first step you should determine X and Y. There is a text on the sign and X is number of letters in the first word and Y is the number of letters in the second word plus 2.
The final is found at the coordinates N 57° 40.7x9 E 011° 57.7y0
Note: the reason this is a multi is to show the actual stairs that supposedly inspired the song - trodding along straight to the cache from a random direction would miss the intended point of the cache.
It is also recomended that you leave the same way you came - others have not and left, after a troublesome descent, with a pair of decent trousers less.
