Deadly Sin: Envy Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

CTReviewer: Greetings from Geocaching.com

I have been looking at caches in the area that have been temporarily disabled for a while now and it looks like your cache has been under the weather for some time. While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other cachers from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time I don’t think we can do so any longer. Therefore, I have archived this cache. If you haven’t done so already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.

When repairs to this cache are completed and it is time to have it reposted, it will be no problem. Just drop me a note and let me know the GC waypoint number of the cache or better yet, the URL of the cache page. You will still be able to access your cache page just as before by going to your “My Cache Page” and clicking the link of your cache.

I will be more than happy to take a look at your cache again to see if it is still is within the guidelines of the Geocaching.com website for cache placement and posting. I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and am looking forward to seeing your cache up and running in the future.

Thanks for your understanding,
CTReviewer

Geocache Description:

TC

The Deadly Sins are a series of caches to help you regain a part of your lost soul. What’s that, you ask? You didn’t realize you were missing a piece? Sorry to inform that you are, but help is close at hand. Whether you admit it or not (and you can, if you want, in the logbook or online log), I believe we have all experienced at least one of these sins in the process of geocaching (for some of us, perhaps more than one. Not that I know anything about that).

Envy

TC

Ah, envy. Ever see someone else with a GPS that you want? Or how about a better PDA, caching vehicle or internet capable cell phone? Maybe it’s not even a piece of technology, but noticing that some others cachers just have seemingly endless amounts of time to find caches every day. Or are better puzzle solvers than you. Or just seem to make more memorable hides? Now that I think about it, I hope this series is memorable.

Now, the cache itself has nothing specifically to do with envy, Perhaps the effort of finding the cache will help you appreciate what you have accomplished, caching-wise.

About the cache:

Park at the end of Panthorn Trail (cul-de-sac) N41 37.935 W072 55.495. Trail starts to the right of the hedges, going between the houses and passing by a blue and black shed. You’ll be following the Steep Climb Trail of the blue blazed Tunxis Trail. Are there views? Sorta, but not really. That's what the other Lake Compounce caches are for. Stage 1 is a waterproof match holder and the final is only small lock 'n' lock. The terrain is 4 because of the steepness/rockiness of the trail and that you’ll be going off trail for both stages. Difficulty is a bit high because it’s a multi, gps reception can be poor in the area and the containers are on the small side. Hints are pretty specific, since I want people to find cache and wasn’t intending to make anything particularly evil. Not to say the cache is easy, just a bit on the side of physically demanding.

Each of the Deadly Sins has a code on the inside front cover of the logbook and on the inside cover of the cache container. You must take note of the code to truly become Virtuous and retrieve the part of your soul that is lost.
