George’s Island is a 208-acre waterfront park offering magnificent Hudson River views. It contains tidal wetlands, a fresh water pond, wooded trails and offers boat access. There are also areas for nature study and picnicking. This park has a lot of archeological significance and sensitive natural areas, especially along the shoreline. In winter, it is a favored spot for viewing eagles on the Hudson.
To approach GZ, park at the upper pavilion and take to the white-blaze trail. Shortly before the fence, spur off to your right and take in a commanding view of the mighty Hudson River. Oh yes, and that's where you'll find this cache as well!
FYI: George's Island is open from 8am-Dusk
