All his life, Ray Kinsella was searching for his dreams. Then one day, his dreams came looking for him. In this 1989 sports drama, Kevin Costner had the same dreams that the City of Charlotte has, to build a major league baseball stadium in their own backyard.

From this vantage point, if you look East/North/East you will see a large vacant lot and in the distance the old Virginia Paper Company building, broken windows and all. This is where the city and business leaders, and wealthy investors are looking to put the downtown stadium. Who knows what will be here 1, 2, 5 years from now, but I can assure you one thing, 'if they build it, they will come'!!

F2F take the money over to Tube Steak Treasures and enjoy breakfast or lunch on me. Small cache, bring a pen, only coins, pins or tiny items please. Parking available 10 feet away on dead end street. Great, uninterrupted view of the city skyline. How much more fun can I make it??

If you haven't notices, Georgia2maine is trying to take downtown Charlotte by geocache storm, so check out the others while in the area: Tube Steak Treasures; Yes They Call Them Professionals; Gateway Treasures; Fountain Treasures; Pink Granite Treasures; Checkered Flag Treasures and Marshall Park Treasures.

Happy Searching....and 'buy me some peanuts and cracker jacks' please!

holy moly! we looked RIGHT at this one and didn't even see it the first time! sly sly camo job! and such a great view of the city! we found it and then wandered over to the stadium to see jasonsimon's family's name engraved under the terrifying panther statue. whoa.
