Geocache Description:

1

This cache will take you on a 1 to 1.5 mile-long historical tribute walk near the Lambeau Field area. Placed along Lombardi Avenue, Bart Starr Drive, Holmgren Way, Reggie White Way, Brett Favre Pass and Tony Canadeo Run, are 22 individual granite and steel monuments. Eventually, a total of 24 monuments will be created. 12 of these monuments are dedicated to individual players, 1 to Vince Lombardi and 11 covering the history of the Green Bay Packers from 1895 to the present. Also listed are 3 other football monuments located in the area. All of these monuments are located just feet from public sidewalks and roadways.

You will have to read each monument to find the answers to the questions below. This walk is a loop and can be started at "any" point on that loop. The "best" place to start your tour is at the first set of coordinates listed below and proceed East on Lombardi Avenue. Not all waypoints contain needed information, but you will have to stop at all of them, until you find the ones that “are” needed. You might get lucky and the first couple that you stop at will contain the info required. And then again you might have to make 25 separate stops to get the right answers. I estimate that if you do the entire walk (over 1 mile) and read all of the info on every monument; it will take you over 1 hour to complete. These monuments showcase individual Packer players, highlite team history and provide information on the Oneida Nation (a sponsor of these monuments). This cache is an informational walking tour and not a park and grab. It has been set up as a learning experience for you to learn more about 2 of Wisconsins great entities. The World Champion Green Bay Packers and the mighty Oneida Nation.
