Geocache Description:

A nice, easy cache in this beautiful, small and family-friendly park in Sutton.

Manor Park is a public park in Sutton, Surrey, created in 1914 in the former grounds of four large houses. Although small, this park has something for everyone - a café to grab a coffee, two enclosed playgrounds, open grassy areas for a kickabout, a beautiful iconic water fountain, and plenty of benches upon which to sit and take it all in. The park is also the site of the Sutton War Memorial, which commemorates 524 men who died in the First World War. Designed by the architect JSW Burmester (who lived in Grange Road, Sutton) and unveiled in June 1921 by Sir Ralph Forster, a wealthy local resident whose son had died in the war, the memorial consists of plaques containing names of the fallen, a panel containing an inscription, and another three containing the emblems representing the Army, Navy and Royal Air Force. There are also four angels on the plinth overlooking the park. You are looking for a small green nano. No space for anything other than the tightly rolled log sheet (it's a snug fit, so you might find some tweezers handy to remove the log). Please bring your own pen/pencil. This cache was kindly placed by Gugs69, was taken over by Dr Evil who after some time passed it over to HuntingHolly. Previous caches here have gone missing so this is a nano. A pair of tweezers will be useful and also a fine-pointed pen or pencil as log is tiny. Please make sure you don't cross-thread the lid when screwing it back as the rain will get in.
